Urban Retreat

Urban Retreat is a peaceful eco retreat situated on a non-working farm in the Ladismith District in the Klein Karoo. The private farm borders the Anysberg Nature Reserve, offering access to mountain pools and walks.

The farm is off-the-grid and offers accommodation in 3 guest houses and a campsite with 2 ablution buildings. Peter’s House and The Annex guest houses have 2 bedrooms in each and The Nest guest house has a double bed and a single bed in an open-plan arrangement. Each guest house has its own kitchen and living area.

The campsite is nestled at the base of a kloof in indigenous bush. The gate at the campsite leads into the vast expanse of the Anysberg Cape Nature Reserve. The campsite offers braai areas and 2 ablution blocks with a hot shower under the open skies, a toilet, wash basin and dish-washing facilities.

On the farm is a dam for swimming on those hot summer days, and many areas to cycle in. The night skies are heavy with stars and the tranquillity is tangible. There is no cell phone reception so there are no disruptions, however there is Internet in the main house if needed.
